Organic Embroidery

I took Susan Sorrell's online class in Organic Embroidery and stitched this (roughly) 6.5 x 5.5 inch piece on Indonesian batik fabric using regular DMC and Kreinik metallic embroidery floss. The design was inspired by eucalyptus tree seed pods I picked up off a soccer field next to my hotel in Burlingame, CA. It reminds me of many happy trips to the San Francisco Bay area for work.
